Clanwilliam FC U16s Team lined out in Clanwilliam Park on Sunday 18 December 2022 to face Nenagh Ormond RFC, and after a hard fought match Clan were victorious on a final scoreline of Clanwilliam F.C. 17 – Nenagh Ormond RFC 7.
This Clan U16s side are a young team, with a lot of new players in their first season of rugby, and while there will always be things to work on, to play as they did and get the win, was a superb result for the team.
It’s clear to all that the Clan U16s are enjoying their rugby and are great friends. They are learning and developing every week. With strong squad numbers and great input from coaches Paul Ryan, Jack O’Dwyer, Adrian Buckley, combined with regular assistance from current and past Clan 1st Team players, this U16s Team have massive potential to be a force to be reckoned with.
Before taking to the pitch on Sunday the Clan U16s were delighted to receive their new jerseys prior to the game, and all involved in Clanwilliam FC would like to sincerely thank our club sponsors and everyone that supports our club fundraisers, as it is this loyal support that allows for the purchase of new jerseys, new equipment, and general improvements to our club facilities.
