Clan U14s Return to Rugby
Clanwilliam F.C. Under 14s made a welcome return to rugby on Friday 15th October, when they hosted Carrick on Suir RFC in a challenge game under lights in Collegelands.
While it may have been a long time since the Clan U14s last played a match, it was obvious across the park that all the squad are putting in great work at their weekly training sessions, and also at their additional weekly skills sessions.
All the parents, family members and spectators were treated to a feast of free flowing rugby, with Clan running in no fewer than five tries. With ball in hand the Clan boys were taking full advantage of the full size pitch, while at the same time their defensive line held firm throughout.
Well done to each and every one of the boys, who all played their part in a very strong squad performance.
While the coaches say the squad have more to work on; all the boys can be proud of their work rate and support play throughout the match. The Clanwilliam U14s will play their first league match on Sunday 24th October away to Kilfeacle.
Clan U14s – East Munster Schedule is as follows (all Sundays at 11am)
24 October v Kilfeacle (A)
7 November v Thurles (A)
21 November v Clonmel (H)
5 December v Cashel (H)
The Semis and Final are due to be played after Christmas.
